Being able to study in a foreign country is something only very few lucky people get to experience, so when Jessica Foreman found out she would be spending her Fall 2010 semester in Spain she decided she was going to write down every moment through a blog. Jessica is a 20 year old junior at Baylor University studying Communications. She has taken several Spanish courses while at Baylor as well as at her high school, so when the time came to decide where to study she knew Madrid, Spain would be a great place to improve her Spanish while indulging in the culture of Europe. "Jessica is a strong and independent woman. I know she is going to leave her 'stamp' on Spain," said Jessica's mother, Karen Foreman.
On August 29th Jessica began her journey to Spain along with her blogging adventure. "Blogging seemed liked the best way for me to share my stories and daily ongoings with my friends and family back home," said Jessica. Her blog begins with a detailed account of her traumatic flight to Europe and then explains her living situation, she lives with a Senora, "host", align with 4 other girls who are studying abroad as well. Jessica has attached her blog to her Facebook page allowing anyone who she is friends with to read what's going on. Although she didn't stop at blogging, she has captured moments through hundreds and hundreds of pictures. She has an immense amount of creativity and love for adventure making her stories intoxicatingly interesting. Since her first blog Jessica has followed up with roughly fifteen blogs, each detailing experiences at school, trips to other countries, and even an explanation of her family and roommates. "I find myself checking her blog on a weekly basis just so I can pour through her pictures and indulge in her stories, it makes me feel like I'm there with her," says Catie Rensink, a close friend of Jessica. Jessica's comical personality comes alive in her blog where she writes things like,
