Waco Restaurants- Baris

904 North Valley Mills Road

(not open Sundays)

Baris has been a Waco staple among restaurants for several years providing Wacoans delicious, yet inexpensive Italian food.  The menu at Baris ranges from the simple pasta bowl to pizza to several delectable chicken dishes.  Not only do you receive quality food when you go to Baris, but you also get quality service. You will find owner/manager Mama Baris working the cash register, always thankful for your company.  A meal at Baris begins with their famous bread, or if you'd rather even more flavor they have an excellent garlic bread with tomatoes (one of my personal favorites).  For the non-pasta lovers Baris is known for their Baris salad, adding an Italian twist to an ordinary food, or choose from their several toppings to put on a pizza.   Although the outdoor appearance of Baris isn't beautiful (Waco fact: Baris used to be the home to a Pizza Hut), the food is always spot on.  The restaurant draws in large crowds of people from Waco and is a hit among Baylor students.  Their busiest times are Friday and Saturday nights when you can typically find the parking lot jammed and a line out the door.  What draws everyone to Baris?  Good food of course, but the kicker is their prices.  You can't get much cheaper at Fazoli's.  Dishes range from $3 to $12, with excellent portion sizes.  Beverages at Baris are limited only including sodas and water, but they do allow those patrons that are 21 to bring in a bottle of wine (they provide the glasses) for a small corking fee.  Baris has continuously done so well because they are one of few Italian restaurants in Waco selling top-notch food.

Average Entree Price: $5 - $10
