The Elite opened its doors back in 1919, becoming Waco's first restaurant to use refrigeration and air conditioning. This famous cafe is located in Waco's busiest circle where South Valley Mills Rd and Lasalle Rd meet. The current owners, Lynn and Creed Ford III, did a complete renovation and renamed the restaurant to Elite Circle Grille. The grille is tastefully designed with historic memorabilia, including one room dedicated to Elvis and another to Waco. The menu at Elite offers a wide variety of tastes with dishes ranging from Mexican to seafood to American. One of their most popular appetizers is Dr Pepper wings, chicken wings drenched in a sweet and tangy Dr Pepper sauce. For your meal they have a wide variety of options like chicken club sandwich, fish & chips, burgers, and spaghetti. Unique from other restaurants inWaco, Elite also serves a brunch from 9am to 2pm on Saturday and Sunday. The brunch menu consists of breakfast tacos, eggs benedict, and omelets. You can't leave Elite without trying a slice of apple pie or even a chocolate bomb, chocolate ice cream and Heath Bar crumbs covered in a chocolate sauce. of course no meal is complete without a drink, with Elite's fully stocked bar that is never a problem. Whether you are looking for something cold to wash down your meal or you'd like to enjoy a football game on the bar's big screen Elite has an excellent selection of drinks for you. Next time your in the moo
d for some Waco nostalgia and good food, see if you can survive the circle and make it to Elite Circle Grille.
